Kate Mansi – Area Practice Manager
Kate studied Social Care and Caring Services at Staffordshire University where she met her husband before starting a career flying with a well known airline. After 12 years delivering customer service and dealing with different situations in the skies, Kate took a career break to concentrate on bringing up her three sons. Kate joined Rectory Road Surgery in 2011 to cover maternity leave for a receptionist, following this she moved to work with our community nurse who cares for our housebound patients with long term conditions. In 2013 Kate was successful in her application as Operations Manager and has a passion to work with the whole team to provide first class primary care to our patients. At home Kate lives with her husband and three sons. Kate enjoys spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking. When time permits Kate likes to socialise with her friends and spend quality time with her family.
Reception
Jen Ridley
Jaswinder Virdee
Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
Secretaries
Pippa
Sarah
The secretaries are here to support the GPs. They process urgent referrals, organise the admin around a normal referral, write out letters on behalf of the GP. Their work is highly skilled and they interact with patients on a daily basis. They offer all round support to the Practice Manager, GPs, reception and the nursing team at the practice.
