7 day access on GP practice websites
Online booking has arrived
You can now register to book certain appointments online at our online booking site. On the registration page, click on the green Register button, choose the Burma Hills Practice, and enter your details.
DON'T FORGET TO SAVE YOUR USER ID somewhere secure, as you will need it to use the service.
You will only be able to book one appointment until you confirm your identity at the practice in person (e.g. with a Driving Licence), so please make sure you bring some ID with you when you arrive for the appointment you've booked, so that this restriction can be lifted.
Note that not all types of appointments are eligible for online booking, so if the type of appointment you want is not listed, you will still need to call the surgery.
New Staff and an update on the surgery
Dr Helen Warwick will be working at Burma Hills Surgery from time to time. We are pleased she has been able to join the practice as a Locum GP.
Dr Hlaing will be working extended hours on a Thursday evening from 6.30 to 7.30. This clinic is for patients who find it difficult to attend the surgery during normal working hours. 8.30 to 6.30.
The Nurseing Team have expanded their availability. Blood clinics are all in the morning as our blood collection is 11.30 each day. The practice is pleased that Katharine Miller has joined us as a Nurse Practitioner.
It has been our intention to build the surgery numbers and are delighted that we are increasing in size. This will in no way compromise your access to the GP or Nurses.
We still offer clinics that can be booked up to six week in advance so you can plan your visit for the GP and or a nurse. We offer on the day appointments for patients who become ill during the day or over night.
We are happy to take prescription requests in person, by post or fax 0118 989 3902. We DO NOT take requests over the phone. The doctors endeavour to turn around your request within 1 working day however this is not always possible so please make sure you get your repeat prescription to us at least 4 days before running out of your medication.
We value our patients and trust we can improve our service to you.

- Respecting and involving people who use the services
- Care and welfare of people who use the services

If you're interested in reading the full report, you can find it on the CQC website.
We may be inspected again in 2015 and trust that we can maintain the standards of care we offer to you.
